GRANT SKELDON
HOW TO DEVELOP HIGH-CAPACITY YOUNG LEADERS
For too long, we've focused on why young people are leaving the church, and occasionally on why they're staying, but that's still a low standard. Pastors enter ministry not just to keep people in church, but to help them encounter Jesus in transformative ways that impact every environment they inhabit. Instead of asking, “Why are they leaving?” or even “Why are they staying?” we should be asking, “Who in the next generation is leading, and why?” If you're ready to move past the problems and explore what's actually working, this breakout is for you.
FR JOHN AUTHER, SJ
HOW TO DISCERN GOD’S WILL
How can we know God’s will? How can we make holy and good decisions especially in the major concerns of our lives, such as career, family, retirement, service and church? In this session, Fr. John will offer three keys for helping everyone discern God’s will.
FRIDAY 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Choose from two electives
BETH MOORE
CATCHING GLIMPSES OF THE WOMEN IN ACTS
We know, admire and love so many of the men pictured in the book of Acts but do we realize what a legacy of faithfulness and holy passion we have in the women of Acts?
FR JOHN AUTHER, SJ
CHALLENGES TO DISCERNMENT & THE PATH TO OVERCOME THEM
In this session, learn how to apply the rules for discernment of St. Ignatius to both everyday life and major decisions. This application will always raise certain spiritual issues with resisting God and lead us to find ways to surrender to God’s will.
FRIDAY 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM
Choose from two electives
BECKY JOHNSON
“ALIVE IN THE WORD: HOW TO STAY HUNGRY”
In this session, we’ll talk about keeping our hunger for the Word alive for the cultivation of our walks with Jesus. How do we stay tender to what can become so familiar? Let’s uncover the secrets of nurturing our connection with the Holy Scriptures, allowing its wisdom to permeate every aspect of our lives. Whether you're seasoned in your walk with Christ or just beginning, this session offers an opportunity to rediscover the Word's influence, reigniting your passion to share its message with authenticity.
RUSSELL MOORE
“CULTURE, ETHICS, AND BEING CHRISTIAN TODAY”
A conversation about today’s culture, issues that confront us, and the pressing ethical questions that point us toward the kingdom of Christ. In other words, we’ll answer the question: “How do we get from here today to The Kingdom?”
Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
